Welcome to Shopify!
By signing up for a Shopify account or using any Shopify services, you agree to follow these Terms of Service.
Shopify offers a complete commerce platform, enabling merchants to:
Build and customize online stores.
Sell on multiple platforms (web, mobile, social media, and marketplaces).
Manage inventory, payments, shipping, and marketing.
Engage with current and potential customers.
Any new features added will also follow these terms.
1. Account Terms
When you create a Shopify account, you agree to the following:
You must be 18 years or older (or the legal age in your region) to use the services.
Shopify accounts are strictly for business purposes, not personal use.
The Primary Email Address you provide will be used for all communication.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password. Shopify is not liable for any losses due to compromised passwords.
Only registered users can access technical support.
You cannot copy, sell, or exploit any part of the service without written permission.
You agree not to bypass Shopify’s checkout system or use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access data.
Your content (products, images, videos, etc.) may be transferred unencrypted across networks.
2. Account Activation
Store Owner:
The person who creates the account is the Store Owner, holding full responsibility for the store.
If you register on behalf of a company, the company becomes the Store Owner.
Staff Accounts:
Shopify plans may include Staff Accounts for team members with limited access.
The Store Owner is responsible for all activities performed by staff members.
Payment Accounts:
Shopify automatically creates payment accounts (such as for PayPal or other services) during sign-up.
These accounts will be your default payment gateways, which you can deactivate if needed.
